About ARCOM

The Association of Researchers in Construction Management was formed in 1984. While initially a UK organisation, and still based in the UK, it has now grown to be a true international community of those involved in research in our built environment.

ARCOM's activities are primarily focussed on its annual conference held every September in various cities around the UK. We provide a newsletter of recent topical issues; we have a back catalogue of publications; our frequent research workshops focus on specific research issues; and this website itself is a major resource for all researchers.

More recently we have launched the International Mentorship Scheme and the ARCOM Travel Grant Scheme as ways of supporting and sustaining younger and more established ARCOM members in their work internationally.
