Organisations
- CIB - Conseil International du Bâtiment - International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction - a world wide network of over 5000 experts from about 500 member organisations active in the research community, in industry or in education, who cooperate and exchange information in over 50 CIB Commissions covering all fields in building and construction related research and innovation.
- BUBL - BUBL Information Service (formerly Bulletin Board for Libraries), originally established for the academic library community it is now a service for the UK higher education and academic and research community. They have an excellent list of resources for civil engineering and construction management researchers.
- NICMAR - Asia's leading Post Graduate Institute in Education, Training, Research, Consultancy and Human Resource Development in Projects, Construction and General Management related fields. The Institute has a 100% campus placement record for its graduates. With strong support from industry, NICMAR has come to be recognized as a prestigious Centre of Excellence in Management.
- CNBR - Co-operative Network for Building Researchers - A mail list for those who have an interest in building research and related fields including project management, real estate and construction. Typical messages include research queries, announcements for forthcoming conferences, and news about research vacancies, journal contents and new books. Members also discuss topics of common interest. Most list members are academic researchers but many industry practitioners also participate.
- AUBEA - The Australasian Universities Building Education Association (AUBEA) has been running annual conferences since 1975, with attendance comprising building educators and representatives from industry and professional associations throughout Australia/NZ and the wider region. Past conferences have welcomed delegates from countries outside Australasia, including the USA, UK Japan and other parts of Asia. The principal aim of AUBEA is to promote and improve teaching and research in building through communication and collaboration. It also aims to coordinate efforts to market the discipline of building to prospective students, research partners and clients. Unfortunately, they do not have a website, so you have to search the internet to find where the next conference is!
