Various research workshops provide a means to develop specific subject themes as well as general research methodology. Our publications form a very useful resource for all researchers in this field.

These activities help to encourage excellence in the research of our members. ARCOM membership is individual, not institutional. We are very proud of our tradition of focusing upon researchers rather than institutions. Our members include research students, lecturers, professors, consultants and other practitioners. Although we are primarily a UK association, we welcome members from all over the world. Membership of ARCOM is an excellent way of keeping in touch with the latest developments in construction management research. It provides opportunities for contact between researchers in similar fields and between researchers and practitioners. Members pay an annual membership fee, and membership is open to any interested individual. To join ARCOM as a member, please use the online registration form.

In addition to individual membership, we have established a category of institutional membership that relates only to doctoral students. This enables a University Department to pay a single fee for all of its PhD students, who will then be eligible for conference registration discount. The fee for institutional membership is determined by the number of PhD students registered in the Department concerned, full details are available form the membership secretary. We are pleased to be associated with the following institutional members:

  • Birmingham City University

  • University of Brighton

  • Chalmers University of Technology
